Potential growth for media sector on Island

Media professionals have visited the Island to host a conference about the benefits of investing in a bigger media sector on the Isle of Man.

Isle of Media hosted the event yesterday afternoon in Douglas at Peggy’s Bar on Loch Promenade, welcoming members of the Island’s digital, media, marketing, sales and corporate sectors.

Speakers from oversees were Lucy Baxter, a Belfast based producer and academic who has worked on shorts, features, dramas and documentaries for  BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, C5, Al Jazeera and for cinema and digital release.

Alex DeGroote, who runs bespoke consultancy services on media, marketing, tech and related sectors, specialises in sell-side sector analytics, and has worked in equity capital markets for a number of European investment banks.
