At The Sound Radio we are constantly looking at new ways for you to access our content. Choose one of the options below to find out more.

You can listen to The Sound via your web browser. Simply click on the "Listen Live" link to launch our web player.

Online Services

We are working to get the Sound Radio on as many apps, services and devices as possible. You can currently find us on the following services.

     

TuneIn radio are not currently accepting new stations so we are unable to be on that service.


On a Phone or Tablet 

You can listen to the Sound Radio using one of the following radio apps on your phone or tablet.

myTuner Radio App

 

Simple Radio by Streema
 

After installing myTuner, open the App and search for "The Sound Radio"


 

On Smart Devices 

Amazon Alexa 

You can listen to The Sound Radio on your Alexa enabled devices by just enabling our Alexa Skill. Search for "The Sound Radio Isle of Man" in your Amazon Alexa App or enable the skil via the Amazon website using the link below.

Enable Skill

Once enabled simply say “Alexa, play the sound radio”.


Sonos Speakers

To listen to the Sound Radio just install the myTuner Radio service on your Sonos account.

iOS or Android:

  • Open the Sonos app.
  • From the Settings tab, tap Services & Voice.
  • Under Music & Content, tap Add a Service.
  • Tap the myTuner Radio.
  • Tap Add to Sonos.

Follow the on-screen instructions to add the music service account.

Mac or PC:

  • Open the Sonos app.
  • Under the Select a Music Source section, click on Add Music Services.
  • Click on the myTuner service to add.

Follow the on-screen instructions to add the music service account.


Bose Smart Speaker

If you have a Bose Smart Speaker with Alexa you can listen to the Sound Radio using our Alexa Skill. Simply setup Alexa on your speaker and then use the instructions above, click here, to enable our Alexa Skill on your account.

TuneIn radio are not currently accepting new stations so we are unable to be on that service.


Google/Nest Home Devices

To listen to the Sound Radio on an Google/Nest Home device you will need to install myTuner Radio om your phone/tablet, click the link below, and use the Google Cast feature to stream via your speaker.

Apple HomePod

To listen to the Sound Radio on an Apple HomePod you will need to install myTuner Radio on your iPhone or iPad, click the link below, and use the AirPlay feature to stream via your speaker.

TuneIn radio and iTunes Radio are not currently accepting new stations so we are unable to be on these services. 


 

Smart TV's and Streaming Devices 

You can also listen to The Sound via apps on your Smart TV, Apple TV, Roku or Fire TV. Look in the channel store on your device for one of the following apps.

  • myTuner Radio

The simply search for "The Sound Radio".

If your TV supports Google Chromecast or Apple AirPlay then you can use the MyTuner Radio app on your phone or tablet to stream the Sound Radio via your TV.


In your Car 

If you have a car with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay then you can listen to the Sound Radio using the myTuner Radio app. Install the myTuner Radio app on your phone then simply connect your phone to your car, open the app and search for "the Sound Radio".

If you don't have Android Auto or Apple Carplay then just connect your phone using bluetooth or use a headphone (AUX) jack if you car has one. The just find "the Sound Radio" on myTuner Radio and click play.

Other cars with Internet Radio support in their In-Car Entertainment system may find the Sound Radio as these directories are updated.


Trouble Playing Our Stream?

If you are having trouble playing our stream check that you are not behind a firewall blocking our streaming port.  If the stream is blocked then go to your firewall, or ask you IT department, and open port 8352.

If your device stops streaming after a few minutes this is a result of a poor internet connection and your device not being able to keep a stable connection to the audio stream.
