Police advising drivers to avoid Laxey and Mountain Road due to standing water

Police are warning drivers to avoid Glen Road in Laxey due to flooding.

The road is currently impassable at The Corony, Maughold and there are reports of standing water along the coast road between Laxey and Ramsey.

There are also reports of standing and fast running water along the Mountain Road on the road surface - police say it's passable at this time but to drive with extreme caution.

Drivers are advised to travel if they absolutely have to and to take care on the roads.
