Fencing repaired following landslide

The Department of Infrastructure has shared photos of Tuesday morning’s landslips on the Mountain Road.

 

The first occurred during the stormy weather and flooding across the Island, with another occurring soon after the first was cleared by the DOI.

 

In addition to blocking the road, the landslip destroyed fencing which surrounded livestock.

 

It was repaired to ensure sheep did not cross the highway before the Mountain Road was reopened later that evening to traffic.
