Happy 100th birthday Hector Duff!

War hero Hector Duff is celebrating his 100th birthday at Government House.

 

Hector is a well-respected Manx war veteran who has frequently given talks about his experiences at schools across the Island and was awarded the Tynwald Honour at age 95.

 

Last month he received over 400 messages from friends and strangers alike to wish him a speedy recovery when he was unwell.

 

Mr Duff's received a birthday card from Her Majesty The Queen, as well as over 100 from across the Island and from further afield.

 

Hector says he's spending the rest of his birthday with the Lieutenant Governor and his wife:
