Juvenile dolphin washes up on Laxey beach

The Manx Wildlife Trust have buried the corpse of a juvenile dolphin for the first time.

They received reports this morning from members of the public of a dead dolphin on Laxey beach.

MWT said that stranded sea mammals such as seals and harbour porpoises are commonly washed-up on Manx shores, but a young dolphin is unusual.

Lara Howe from the organisation said that the young dolphin's skeleton will be taken for testing to Manx National Heritage:
