Meeting called to discuss speeding through Ballabeg

Story by Local Democracy Reporter Ewan Gawne.
The chair of Arbory Commissioners says drivers continue to ‘significantly’ break speed limits through Ballabeg.
Villagers will have a chance to discuss the issue at a meeting tomorrow night (7 November).
It’s been arranged due to concerns about traffic speeds, and congestion at the parish primary school during drop-off and pick-up times.
Commissioners are looking for solutions, in what they hope will be a constructive meeting.
The Department of Infrastructure’s director of highways Jeff Robinson will be at the meeting, whilst representatives from the school, police, and local MHKs have also been invited to attend.
It gets underway at 7:30pm in Arbory Parish Hall.
Vice-chair of the board Jane Glover says communication with the DoI over traffic problems has been challenging, for both the commissioners and ratepayers.
