Police have said if driving along the Mountain Road does not improve during the wet weather, the road may be subject to closure.
It follows a collision earlier today.
Police said that due to rainfall coming down the mountain and creating standing water on the road, driving conditions are being made treacherous.
They are asking drivers to not drive at speed, as a police officer stood on the Mountain Road at Beandywell and Windy Corner was ignored by some drivers when asked to slow down because of standing water.
The Force said that if driving doesn't improve and there's a risk to the public, the road may be closed.
