University College Isle of Man has announced its 2019-20 series of talks.
8 talks are planned covering a wide range of topics: sport, constitutional law, climate change, artificial intelligence, cancer research, DNA testing and eye tracking technology.
Ms. Gail Corrin, Higher Education Manager, is particularly excited about this year’s #UCMtalks, saying: 'We run this series of public lectures to create a platform for meaningful discussions on a variety of current topics and encourage people to share new ideas and thinking.
'This year, we have a great line-up of speakers, all of whom are experts in their respective fields and who are covering stimulating and interesting topics. I’m really looking forward to the talks and also the engaging discussions that typically follow on from them.'
All talks, apart from one on 15th January 2020, will be given at the Nunnery campus, from 6pm – 7pm:
