Local chef wins Social Responsibility Award in London

A local chef has won a prestigious award at a regional event in London.

Pippa Lovell, who is Head Chef of Versa in Port Erin, won the San Pellegrino Social Responsibility Award for her environmental awareness as a chef.

The San Pellegrino Young Chef competition saw 15 of the best young chefs from the UK, Sweden, Ireland, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands compete in the live cook off in front of 10 judges. 

She was chosen to go through to the Young Chef 2020 finals in Milan next May.

Speaking to Energy FM Pippa said she was delighted to receive the award and also gave some advice for anyone thinking of becoming a chef:
