Beach Buddies reaches 15,000 volunteer milestone

A local charity has celebrated reaching a milestone of 15,000 volunteers.
Beach Buddies Isle of Man announced the news via social media, stating that individual volunteers has reached the enormous amount since beach and community clean-up sessions started in 2012/13.
Founder Bill Dale began the environmentally-aware charity in 2006, when he and a friend were walking their dogs on the beach.
Beach Buddies has kept statistics since 2013, recording the number of volunteers at each session, the number of new volunteers and the number of bags of rubbish collected, to be revealed in the near future in a review of the history of Beach Buddies.
Bill spoke to Energy FM about how he felt about the charity's achievement and what the most rewarding aspect of running Beach Buddies is for him:
