Police have received reports of people offering iPhones for sale on IOM based buy and sell sites. 

 

In at least one of these cases money has been paid to a UK bank account, but no phone delivered, with the fraudster pretending to live on Island.

 

Officers are advising people to check before paying sellers and meet the buyer in person.
