A new Steam Packet Company Chair is being sought by Treasury.
Treasury Minister Alf Cannan MHK has confirmed that a recruitment process for the new position is underway.
The Treasury is undertaking the process as sole shareholder following IOM Government’s purchase of the company in May 2018, aimed at providing long-term stability to the Island’s lifeline ferry operations.
The post will become vacant on 31st March next year, when Robert Quayle retires after 11 years as chairman and more than 20 years as director.
Mr Cannan said: ‘The role of Chair is crucial to establishing the strategic direction of the Island’s sea services, including these developments, and I look forward to considering applicants with the necessary experience and business acumen to oversee and support the board.’
The role’s requirements and criteria have been published on the Treasury section of the Government website.
Those interested in the post are invited to submit their application by Sunday 22nd December.
