The rate of inflation rose from 0.9% to a huge 3.2% last month.

 

IOM Government said it's due to an increase in flight fares over the Christmas and New Year period.

 

Without this, the rate of inflation is believed to have been 1.2%.

 

Other instigators were recreation, such as alcohol bought from pubs and bars.
