Home of Rest For Old Horses celebrates first festive weekend

Today the Home of Rest for Old Horses opens its doors to everyone for the first weekend of Christmas festivities.

Thursday marked the official Christmas lights switch on, which saw the Santon charity light-up the entire premises for a fortnight, Santa's grotto and the horses and donkeys joining in for some festivities.

The Home will be open from 10am until 4pm this weekend and next weekend and 4pm to 8pm on weekdays until 23rd December.

There will be a live broadcast by Energy FM today joined by singer Rebecca Forrest, and tomorrow the Crosby Silver Band will play some festive tunes.
