A professional Manx Enduro rider will be trekking across the deserts of Saudi Arabia next month for the Dakar Rally.
25-year-old Jamie McCanney will set-off from Jeddah on 5th January 2020, pass through Al Wajh, Neom, Ha'il and resting in Riyadh before continuing onto Haradh, Shubaytah, Wadi al-Dawasir and finish in Quiddyah.
The gruelling route is expected to take until the 17th January.
McCanney has a wealth of experience under his Enduro belt, earning a first-time Junior World Champion position and six podiums in the World Championships.
