Future of Ballasalla Post Office under scrutiny

Isle of Man Post Office are seeking views from stakeholders for a consultation concerning Ballasalla Post Office.

IOMPO has stated in letters to stakholders that the Ballasalla sub postmaster has given notice on the contract to provide services, ending 9th March 2020.

Those asked to take part in the consultation include Malew and Castletown Commissioners, Department of Infrastructure, Department of Social Care, Age Concern and Abbotswood Nursing Home.

The consultation will close 17th January.

A statement from the Post Office said: 'In line with the retail network modernisation principles approved by Tynwald in October, to develop network services in line with our changing customers demands, IOMPO is consulting with its corporate customers and local stakeholder groups on the future provision of sustainable and affordable postal services in the area.'
