Fire crews from Castletown and Malew Fire Station responded to a boiler fire on Christmas Day.

 

At 1:45pm crews went to the call, which occurred at a property on West Hill Avenue, Castletown.

 

This turned out to be a fault with the boiler which was producing excessive smoke from the flue.

 

Crews checked the boiler to ensure it was safe and isolated supplies.
