Locals have taken plunges into the sea around the Island taking part in annual New Year's Dip events.
Douglas, Laxey, Ramsey, Peel, Castletown and Port St Mary beaches were swarmed with brave dippers, raising money for causes such as Breast Cancer Now, Beach Buddies, Huntington's Disease Association IOM and RNLI.
The Island's first ever New Year's Dip event was held in 1983 on Castletown Beach.
This video was published on Facebook of the moment locals entered the sea in Douglas.
