A Yellow weather warning has been issued by the Isle of Man MET Office from tonight until Saturday.
Frost is expected overnight, with a minimum air temperature of 3 degrees celsius at low levels and 1 degree over the hills.
Icy patches are possible where roads remain damp, especially over higher ground.
South to south-westerly winds will develop from tomorrow evening, with a possibility of becoming severe gales on Saturday morning.
Coastal overtopping is expected at high tide between 11: 30pm Friday and 11: 30am Saturday, especially on Shore Road, Rushen and Castletown Prom.
Winds will decrease during Saturday afternoon.
