Bin lorry overturns in strong winds

Emergency services responded to a bin lorry which had overturned in Douglas earlier.

The incident happened between the two roundabouts at Governor's Bridge.

Ramsey Town Commisioners have confirmed  that one of its refuse vehicles left the carriageway at Governors Dip this afternoon.

A member of staff involved in the incident is currently receiving medical attention.

The road remains closed while recovery work takes place.
