A report produced into how Douglas Harbour may be developed to accommodate a deep water berth has been published.
The work was carried out by ABP Marine Environmental Research – part of Associated British Ports – and looked at the possibility of deepening the berth on the north side of Victoria Pier, while also considering the waters outside Princess Alexandra Pier.
The report can be found on the ABP Marine Environmental Research website by using this link.
The Department of Infrastructure is currently considering the next series of studies and is in discussions with various maritime parties on-Island.
