Annual golf day raises over £250K for charity

An annual charity golf day on the Island has raised over £250,000 for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.

The Star Groups recent event at Mount Murray raised £39,000.

All the proceeds are spent on dedicated bowel cancer research by Cancer Research UK.

Bowel Cancer is still the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK with 44 people a day succumbing to this terrible disease.
