Interim CEO takes the reins at Department of Health and Social Care

The Department of Health and Social Care has appointed a new interim Chief Executive Officer.

Kathryn Magson has taken the reins at the Department of Health and Social Care at the start of a two year secondment from a senior leadership position in the UK.

Ms Magson joins the department from NHS Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group which she has led since 2017, and she takes over the CEO role from Angela Murray who becomes the department’s first Chief Operating Officer.
