A local beach cleaning charity which has gained worldwide support for its efforts, including from HM The Queen, has been featured in National Geographic online.
Written by a freelance reporter and photographer, Kingsley Singleton, the piece focuses on the efforts and achievements of Beach Buddies Isle of Man.
It also mentions the IOM Government's marine conservation programme and the UNESCO biosphere status which the Island holds.
Beach Buddies founder Bill Dale said, “This is really positive publicity and it can only be good for the Isle of Man and our people. More than anything else, I really hope this helps Beach Buddies in our mission to spread the word around the world about what we as a nation have achieved in the Island.”
The online feature can be viewed here and will be available in National Geographic's hard copy soon.
