Yellow Weather Warning in place from tonight

The IOM MET Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning from this evening.

 

From 6 pm until 11 am tomorrow, they said that showers will be frequent from tonight turning heavy at times, with rain, hail or sleet at low levels and snow or hail on higher ground.

 

Heavier amounts are likely on higher land between 3-10 cm possible above about 1,000 ft, with temporary small accumulations down to 500 ft in heavy showers.

 

The showers will move away later in the night, and as skies become clear icy stretches will readily develop on higher roads, above about 700 ft, which could be a significant hazard.
