A yellow weather warning for strong gales has been issued for the Island.
Ronaldsway Met Office say the unsettled weather is expected to develop over the weekend and for the beginning of next week.
Storm Ciara will give spells of rain, heavy at times, over the weekend followed by wintry showers, with snow on high ground, early next week.
Gales or Severe Gales, with a risk of gusts to storm force, are expected over the weekend and early next week with a risk of minor structural damage and some travel disruption.
Some coastal overtopping is likely near the time of high tides, especially over the weekend.
The warning will be in force from 6pm on Saturday until 12pm on Tuesday.
