Plea from friends of Man City fan for minutes applause

Tributes have been paid to a local man who passed away.

 

44-year-old Juan Guy, also known as 'Jukes', was a Manchester City fan and a frequent season ticket holder.

 

One of his closest friends, Chris Kneen, has tried to capture the football team's attention via social media, in the hope that the team will hold a minute's applause for his friend at the postponed match against West Ham.

 

So far, Chris' Tweet has been shared more than 700 times.

 

Mr Guy was also a former player for Rushen United FC, who also paid tribute on their Twitter page.
