Staff from the IOM Ambulance Service and Nobles Hospital Emergency Department are testing coronavirus response today.
The Ambulance Service said on social media that this involves staff carrying out a full simulation to test procedures and processes in the event of the virus hitting the Island.
Public Health IOM advice states the risk is low.
Ambulance staff want to reassure the public they are ready to respond safely and effectively to suspected cases of coronavirus, should the need arise.
Residents should not be alarmed if you see an increase in activity in the Douglas area involving staff wearing protective equipment.
