Moorhouse says bus timetable change is 'demand-driven'

Cost-cutting was not the main motivation behind changes to the bus timetable, says the MHK with responsibility for public transport.
Jason Moorhouse admits the Department of Infrastructure will make savings from the alterations, but insists they were driven by demand.
This is measured by equipment on buses which records levels of usage.
The spectre of bus service cuts prompted an angry reaction from Jurby residents and local MHKs this week, who forced the DoI to rethink what had been planned for the village.
Mr Moorhouse says the new timetable, which is due to start next week, has been altered after concerns were raised.
