The vice-chair of the Isle of Man Post Office has resigned from her role.
Tanya August-Hanson MLC had been in the position since April 2018.
It follows what she describes as a 'disparity' between the Post Office Retail Strategy approved in Tynwald last October and the practical roll-out of it.
In a statement, she said: "I cannot in good faith support the board further, as I feel that the strategy and its rollout are not aligned. The IoM PO has a huge social responsibility in delivering on its contract with Treasury’s Social Security Division. It is paid through that contract to deliver services efficiently and reasonably for pension and benefits customers, and I don’t believe that a proper emphasis is being placed on how the public might best be served in their communities."
