Tynwald to consider changes to Vehicle Duty

The amount motorists pay in vehicle duty or road tax on the Island is set to rise.

If approved by Tynwald this month - the Vehicle Duty Order 2020 would see all motorcycles being charged a flat rate of £25 a year which would replace the current arrangement which involves a range of categories and charges.

A review is currently taking place as the Manx Government plans to achieve net zero emissions on the Island by 2050
