Investigation launched after light aircraft crash

Air investigators have begun an investigation into the crash of a light aircraft.

Emergency services were called to Mount Rule on Friday afternoon.

The pilot and passenger had managed to free themselves from the aircraft before emergency teams arrived.

They were given precautionary checks by paramedics.
