Treasury Minister to announce support measures for businesses and workers

The Treasury Minister will today announce a package of emergency measures to support businesses and workers on the Island during the coronavirus pandemic.

Alfred Cannan has issued a message to all those currently affected that support will be available and that Government staff are working tirelessly to finalise arrangements.

Minister Cannan said: ‘We are listening to your concerns and will be bringing forward assistance designed to support employers during this difficult period and beyond."

‘Every day brings its own challenges and we are in uncharted waters in many respects. The environment is dynamic, but our focus holds steady. We will do what is best for the Island and its people.’
