Treasury Minister announces £100m additional funding

The Treasury Minister has announced an additional £100m of funding to cover wage support, VAT deferral and series of other measure to help people during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Alf Cannan confirmed a wage support package will be introduced and provide up to £280 a week.

He also announced a loan guarantee scheme, businesses will be able to defer VAT payments until June with no penalties and a new welfare benefit for up to £200 a week from month.
