Isle of Man Post Office is continuing to adapt to the Coronavirus emergency.
Postal workers will no longer deliver any junkmail such commerical advertising leaflets.
Instead it will prioritise its Door2Door leaflet distribution service only for any public service announcements where required.
Simon Kneen, Chief Executive of IOMPO said:“We are pleased to have secured agreement from Royal Mail that we will be able to hold any notice left items for 23 working days as opposed to 18 days during the current situation, which will hopefully be good news for our customers. However to avoid customers having to visit our office to collect items, we would encourage them to request a redelivery in the first instance."
The postal service has announced Douglas Post Office will be dedicating 9am-11am of its Monday-Friday opening hours to serve vulnerable and elderly customers with effect from tomorrow.
All other post offices across the Island are considering measures they can take, as well as reviewing their opening hours.
