Non-essential GP appointments stopped

All non-essential appointments with GPs have been stopped across Island.

Health Minister David Ashford confirmed doctors will instead use video conferencing and telephone consultations.

Travel vaccinations, insurance reports and private medicals will cease until further notice.

Mr Ashford also said the Covid-19 111 helpline took over 100 calls on Saturday.

He has urged non-medical related calls to be made to the General Helpline on 686262.
