The speaker of the House of Keys has lashed out at the Chief Minister.
Juan Watterson took to social media to share his disappointment at Howard Quayle's announcement on relaxing lockdown rules.
Mr Watterson wrote: "Very disappointed that Goverment have announced easing lockdown restrictions on Friday to the press rather than facing Tynwald scrutiny until after it takes effect!"
"How come it wasn’t in the Chief Minister’s statement to Tynwald at 10:30, but is broadcast to the world at 4pm."
"Sadly these sort of actions make Council of Ministers look like they have contempt for Tynwald."
The Chief Minister confirmed people will be able to make non-essential journeys across Island from this Friday.
He said the public will be allowed to go out for longer and for different reasons.
