30 firefighters tackle heath fire

Fire crews spent more than four hours tackling at a heath fire on Greeba Hill last night.

Thirty firefighters were used in the operation to extinguish the fire which involved four acres of heathland.

A crew remained on scene through the night dealing with hot spots.

Fire officers say the ground remains incredibly dry and the fire remains deep in the ground.

An investigation has been launched to find the cause of the fire which is currently unknown.
