Arbory Parish Commissioners have announced the recycling bank at Colby Football Club has been closed.
It follows problems with litter and anti-social behaviour in the area.
Commissioners say a new location for the Southern Recycling bank will need to be found as the club no longer wants to house it.
In a statement, they said: "The Department of Infrastructure manages the paper, glass and tin recycling and whilst it is their responsibility to find a new location in the village, Arbory Commissioners will be assisting them to do this. The current plastic recycling will be removed from Colby and Ballabeg; a new provider is being sourced."
"In the meantime, alternative bring banks are open at Croit-e-Caley and Ballabeg."
The bank had reopened only a week ago after being closed due to the coronavirus lockdown measures.
