Work resumes on Douglas Prom

Work on refurbishing Douglas Promenade will resume from this morning.

The multi-million pound projected was suspended in March due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer confirmed last Friday that workers would return to the site from today.

The scheme, which has suffered delays, was due to finish in August 2021.

The deadline has moved forward as limits on the location of work over the summer can be lifted.
