Appeal after serious collision at Mountain Mile

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision on the Mountain Mile.

It happened on Saturday at around 3:20pm.

A car left the road and caught fire in a field.

The male driver was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for several hours whilst collision investigation work was undertaken.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information relating to the driving of a Red Volkswagen Polo driving in the direction of Douglas shortly prior to the incident to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
