Yellow warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms

A yellow weather warning has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Forecasters at Ronaldsway says heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the island at times during this afternoon and evening. Localised surface water flooding is possible with 20-30mm of rain falling in a short space of time with total rain from the event in the region of 30-40mm.

The warning comes into force from midday and will last until 11pm.
