Heysham Port has been closed this morning due to a serious chemical leak.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service says six crews are on scene tackling the spillage.
Fire crews in hazmat suits are dealing with a spill of nitric acid which leaked from a tanker at around 5am.
The port remains closed.
Ben-My-Chree sailings between Douglas and Heysham could be affected.
