"Sit and Chat" benches installed across Island

A series of benches have been installed across the Island as part of a project to tackle loneliness.

The initiative has been started by Hospice Isle of Man.

Colourful benches will be distinctively decorated and easily identifiable as places where people who feel isolated or lonely can sit and chat with strangers.

The charity says it hopes it will lead to a decrease in loneliness and isolation as well mental health.
