BA Pulls Out of Island Again - Confirmed
Thu, 20 Aug 2020
It has been confirmed that British Airways is to pull out of the Isle of Man at the end of this month.
Scottish Carrier Loganair will take over the London City route formally from BA on September 1st.
Rumours of BA’s departure had been circulating since the ticket sales were unavailable beyond the Autumn
When asked by Energy News, BA refused to comment about their commitment to the Manx routes.
The BA London City route had been operated by Loganair on behalf of BA over recent years. However the loss of BA will be a major blow to Manx passengers who booked onward international connections.
Passengers who booked with BA for flights beyond September 1st, will have to seek a refund and rebook with Loganair.
Tickets for the London City route are only on sale until the end of October, so the future of the route is still uncertain.
