Heavy rain forecast as amber weather warning issued

We could be in for flash floods, standing water and difficult driving conditions tomorrow with heavy rain forecast.

There's also a warning to prepare for localised flooding overnight.

The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning from 3am until midday tomorrow.

Up to 70mm of rain is expected, with river valleys along the east and north east coasts expected to be hit hardest.

The rain is predicted to be accompanied by a strong to gale force southeast wind.
