MT rule out cyber attack on services

Manx Telecom has confirmed a broadband outage this week across the Island was not the result of a cyber attack or hacking.

The telecoms provider confirmed it had restored services to more than 7,000 business and consumer customers yesterday evening.

Customers who have incurred additional charges though their mobile data usage will be able to apply for credit when they receive their next bill.

Manx Telecom have confirmed an investigation in the major fault will be opened.
