South Douglas has two new MHKs.
Local businesswoman Claire Christian topped the poll with 930 votes and will serve for just over 9 months until the General Election next year.
But the second seat was decided after two recounts as Liberal Vannin Candidate Micheal Josem and former airline pilot, Paul Quine [as in Equine] had just 6 votes between them.
Paul Quine was elected as the area’s second MHK.
The turnout was low at just 38%.
