Plans for the introduction of a self-service touch screen postal kiosk in Ballasalla have been delayed.
Isle of Man Post Office says the kiosk installation at Spar Clagh Van was delayed for some months due to the Covid outbreak on the Island.
In a statement, IOM PO said: The implementation has been subsequently postponed at Mannin Retail Limited's (MRL) request, to allow for the Department of Infrastructure's planned upgrade work to the building and MRL's shop refurbishment to be carried out at the same time, to the benefit of all customers. It is hoped the kiosk will be in situ and available for customers to use by 18th October, subject to the timely completion of the building works."
In the meantime, customers can collect parcels from the store between 7am and 8pm seven days a week, which is proving a useful facility for local residents.
